Dan Irish

Bio

Dan started coaching youth football in 2008 and joined the Hamilton Southeastern Royals Football staff in 2017 where he coached the freshman running backs and defensive line. He has continued in those positions for 3 years and then switched to coaching the TE/h-backs and inside linebackers. Dan took over as the Freshman Head Coach for a year then moved on to coach the Varsity TEs and then LBs before returning to the Freshman Head Coach position in 2025. Dan played Center and Nose Guard at Carmel HS, winning a State Championship in 1989 and was an All-State O-linemen in 1991 lettering in Football and Track. He walked on to the IU Football team as an offensive lineman (center) then he made an unusual transition to Fullback after his first year and earned a scholarship a year later from Coach Mallory. Dan went on to become a 2-year letterman. Career wise, after 15 years of personal sales as a REALTOR, Dan is now a Senior Sales Manager with Century 21 Scheetz. Dan & his wife Mindy have four children – Charlie, Will, Anna & Sam.
